On August 29, the “AI Dream Building · Empowering Innovation with Yantron” AI Innovation Competition was held at the Yantron Park in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing. Fourteen participating teams focused on industry pain points, using AI as a tool to solve real-world challenges.
Each team delivered an 8-minute presentation followed by a 2-minute expert Q&A session, covering diverse areas such as AI application in preliminary bridge scheme design, enterprise-level AI document parsing, water conservancy regulation retrieval, rail transit design, urban renewal planning, HVAC energy saving, and building safety inspection. The projects demonstrated deep integration of AI with practical business scenarios, showcasing the journey from “technological concept” to “real-world application.”
AI Application in Preliminary Bridge Scheme Design, Yanjian Enterprise-Level AI Document Parsing Platform, and AI Intelligent O&M System for Mega-City Rail Transit Bridges — a Three-in-One AI Solution Combining AI Vision Recognition + AI Equipment Clusters + AI Predictive Decision Models received widespread attention during the roadshow. One project showcased how AI could be applied to accelerate and enhance early-stage bridge design scenarios; another demonstrated how AI could improve efficiency in parsing enterprise-level documents; and the third presented a three-in-one intelligent O&M framework for rail transit, offering a new path for future digital and intelligent upgrades in transportation.
The competition invited professional judges from the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission, Chongqing University, and ByteDance. They evaluated entries from the perspectives of “technological innovation, business adaptability, and feasibility of implementation,” giving precise feedback—highlighting strengths while also offering professional guidance for further optimization.
In the end, after review by the judging panel, the championship went to the team led by Xiao Kui from the Bridge Division of TYLin International (China) with their project AI Application in Preliminary Bridge Scheme Design.
Wang Yang, Chief Digital Intelligence Officer of Yantron Group and Executive Director of Intelligent TY, stated that the purpose of this competition is to provide a platform for discovering AI cross-disciplinary talents. At the same time, Yantron Group will actively embrace AI and explore new paths in digital intelligence.
Yang Jin, Chief Executive Officer of Yantron Group and Chairman of TYLin International (China), summarized that the 14 teams participating today demonstrated the tremendous potential of AI in fields such as engineering construction and urban operations. They also reflected Yantron Group’s deep integration with AI. By continuously combining our professional expertise with AI in a two-way drive, we aim to empower innovation and enhance our future competitiveness.
Man-Chung Tang, Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Honorary Chairman of TYLin International (China), conveyed the spirit of the Chongqing Science and Technology Innovation Conference before the competition. He emphasized: “We are engineers, and the principle of engineering is innovation. Having innovative ideas is important, but true innovation only comes when we turn imagination into reality and validate its feasibility. This competition is an excellent opportunity to do exactly that.”
